Snetterton Blast

Post by BubbleRS6 » Sat Sep 20, 2014 9:52 pm

Took the beast out for a short session at Snetterton on Thursday evening. Went with a couple of friends, one in a GT-R and other in a C63 coupe. We all normally run modified Cooper S's so was a totally new experience, didn't handle as bad as I expected in the corners although after 5 laps the tyres started to go off and had a couple of moments where the rear let go. Upside was nothing overtook me down the straights and the C63 was just too skitty on the bends, downside is i've now got a leak from the rear nearside shock, only noticed it today !! Got a couple of track pics...

If it was the full Snetterton 300 circuit, I'd imagine a C63 in those conditions was like Bambi on ice through the new infield sections!

Surprised to hear the rear let go a few times!

Was 300 circuit, C63 was way too lively to push it hard through the corners, was quite a busy evening too. Rear only kicked out twice but was going for it on the infield, had ESP fully off.

Brave man. How were the brakes

I've tracked a C6 at Cadwell and Silverstone

Never again.

definitely need better pads! didn't stop too bad though considering the weight. Worst is the back straight down to the bridge and through the chicane, bridge and turn come up on you quickly at 145. Only used to 115 in the mini which is more controllable. Bet Cadwell was a handful, done that several times in the mini, not much room on the track for such a big car. Found out today that the DRC is broken, have a metallic knocking sound from front passenger side and oil leaked out of rear driver side so that's gonna cost. Anyone know of anyone other than Audi to inspect it?
