Who's had a B7 and now has a B8? (pics please)

He's still going strong and touring the world with huge audiences...

The bands last album was in late 2010 and one of the best to date - I cant beat a bit of jazz funk I'm afraid..

People often see him as a solo artist but when you see them live its defo a band effort with a front man and with a full brass section & 2 drummers they're pretty amazing knocking out songs that last 10-15mins...

I would take his crack with a load of tongue and cheek to be honest as he's a proper petrol head and when we were talking he was telling me he had just bought a 50's drag car and still had his B5 RS4 & RS6 plus.
Bet he has a new 6 in his garage by now too...!

His late 90's albums were fantastic. I remember at 17 listening to the opening of one track, which was his Purple Diablo going hard through the first 3 gears. If you turned it right up and blasted my XR2 in line with the gear change, you could almost imagine that big V12 behind you.
I've no personal exposure to him other than what i've seen on TV, and i think it was last time I saw top gear that I just found him a little too full of himself, but then again, he has a lot and does well, so he's entitled to be I guess.

XR2 was my first sports car at 17. it was a Mk2 B reg with pepper pot alloys
Yeah, not as fast as a 1.6 or 1.9 205gti, but I kept it for a while and then had a string of Escort RS turbos, fiesta RS turbo's, a 205 and 306 GTI, an astra GSI and then a sapphire cosworth, which at 21 cost me more to insure than some of the mortgages I've had

I'm downloading the album on iTunes now, so I'll give it a listen tomorrow

I've still got my B7 and the new B8. I'm a bit ashamed to say I just haven't found the time to advertise it - that's nearly 6 months! Its finally up for sale though. Its nice to drive them back to back from time to time. They are such different creatures to the point the B7 easily holds its own on the open road, something I'm sad to say was/is not the case with the B5. The B5 was the best looking and gave you the best kick in the back, but it was sorely lacking in so many departments compared to the B7. That said it would be nice to have a complete collection..................

Nice collection! It took me 2 years to get rid of my 156GTA after buying the RS4, so 6 months is nothing!

PS if you still had the B5 you'd be the daddy! I wonder, is there anyone out there that owns all 3?
