Bit of tyre weld and new underpants will fix that.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Had a P-Zero rear tyre let go on a Jag at 110+mph...that certainly was an eye opener. Wouldn't like to think what went through his chocolate starfish at over 200mph

he did the right thing though - ease off and not doing anything ham fisted... just let the car slow down and try to keep it in the right direction.
Many people would have instinctively applied the brakes and then that would have been interesting!

Be interested to see how it would've behaved with all electrics off... and in RWD mode. I guess it's safe to assume he wasn't on run-flats?

That's the problem with the higher speed ratings.
it just says rated for over 186 mph.
It could be 187mph... it could be 250mph... it doesn't matter. It would still have the same code so you can't infer the actual top speed of the tyre from the sidewall... just that it'll be fine at 186.

Suggests by the way it let go that it was quick - unless the pressure sensors were disabled (stupid to do on a run flat equipped car) then it should have been going mental if the pressure dropped. So either hit some debris of the tyre was simply over it's design limit and overheated.
