Anyone fancy guessing how much MRC want to fit a new rack to the Plus? :shock: :shock:

Oh yes, it's leaking from the end seal on the drivers side where the rubber gaitor is. Looking through the previous owners posts, it looks like it's been suffering for some time.

Well the all in price from MRC (including VAT but not lube) is £2,094 of my finest English pound coins.

I've asked my good friend at TPS to see what sort of magic he can work.
If only it wasn't a Plus I could just by a normal used RS6 rack, refurb it and then fit that.

Does 8 hours of labour sound about right?

what's the difference between a usual RS6 steering and the Plus version? i thought they were the same...

AFAIK amanda had it changed and it was about 9xx for the new steering plus labor...

Nothing at all. Power Racks, Mountsorrel, Leicestershire rebuilt mine for about £500 inclusive of VAT. Labour was roughly the same IIRC. They do only supply to trade though.

Absolutely nothing. The only downside is I would be carless for the duration of the refurb as it's my daily driver.
I may just sort the new one out then refurb the old and flog it.
