How do you remove front license plate holder?

I can't seem to get it off. I have wiggled and unclipped the claws behind the plate holder but somehow the plate holder won't come off the mesh. I suspect the plate holder is screwed into something at the back.

Do I need to remove the mesh off the car before I can get the plate holder off?

Just had a look at the one I have off the car at the minute and there are no connections visible from the rear of the grill other than the two allen key screws which are in the centre. The supports for those screws and the captives are pretty big though so maybe a popper of some kind in addition so if the screws are lost if doesn't just fall off.

Remove the two centre torx screws, then from the drivers side gently push the plate upwards and it just pops off.
There is a clip in the middle of the holder too, which may make it feel like it's bolted from the inside.

Ok thanks! I couldn't see the two screws holding the holder because of the license plate that's in front of the holder. Once that's off it's pretty obvious.
