Nappa Lunar Silver interior

Post by tee-bee » Mon Sep 01, 2014 10:49 am

Wanted to know if any RS4 owners have opted for the Nappa Lunar Silver interior?

Does look stunning.. concern is the dye colour transfer from dark clothing... anyone share their experience re: maintenance ? any tips on which aftercare products to use?

I have it as an exclusive option on my B7... Go for it, it really is stunning and I've never had any dye problems from jeans etc :)

My wife has the black and white/silver interior in her s3, it's more maintenance than black for sure, if you have kids I wouldn't bother TBH

The silver nappa does look good, brightens up the interior and gives it a bit more wow than just the black IMO,
you just have to be a bit more careful and invest in some leather cleaner.

Mine came with the light interior, so I did get the Auto-Glym option. I wear black jeans most of the time (don't judge me ...), and the dye does come off (especially new jeans) and make the seat squab look grubby. However, a good clean with leather cleaner once every couple of months does lift it off easily enough. Even a damp cloth will lift it off, it doesn't seem to penetrate much.

I probably wouldn't have chosen it, but it's not been as bad to live with as I thought, and as Outtlaw says, it does brighten it up a lot.

We have white leather in the wife's Range Rover and I use Gtechniq to seal the leather.

Just needs wiping down about once every two or three months now, before it was at least once per week and a right mess.
