Really in two minds, want to go as hopefully it will be a shower and pass then be dry at least. But if it's solid rain all day then sitting in the car all day won't be great.

Guys, I have a paid for Met office account - much more info etc. it sweeps in and should be clear by 13:00/14:00.

I plan now to go clockwise m25 (sorry Ryan!) at about 6:30am when the front is still in the west and hopefully avoid - equally if I wake up and it's lashing a gale then I may bail...

The middle of the horrible yellow patch on the rain radar is right over me - it's moving through pretty quick - will give it 30 mins to see if it slows - it's pretty torrential at the moment. Dave - you are further east than me, set off now and you may miss it! Yes junc 8 m1 but fear you may be there before me...

Sadly, as predicted it's proper raining here at AITP - we are going to give it until 0830 and if its still chucking it down will call a rain check and head home. fcking uk weather sucks.

If you are already at Billing don't be too hasty! Leaving in 20 minutes or so, need to stop for a splash and dash....
