C6 vs C7 - 1/4 Mile

Post by Golfather » Sun Jul 06, 2014 4:43 pm

Sorry folks but the C7 is the new Daddy!

Best I could manage was 12.08 and the C7 was hitting 11.3's all day long.
Both MRC tuned with map filter and zorst.

Launch on the C7 is brutal. A better box and a diet has worked wonders

It was always going to batter the C6.

Prices hadn't better plummet any time soon.

Get your car checked, Golf. Probably got that split boost pipe which a few have had recently.

The C6 does 11.5-11.9 in tuned format.

This is my time on the same strip.

0-60 FT = 1.944
Reaction Time = 0.85735
1/4 Mile = 11.73305
Speed = 124.58MPH

Steve-H is doing 11.5 with his recently tuned MRC C6...

Edited to add, Steve actually did 11.10, 3.6 to 60 and 129 MPH on his best run.

Yep true mate, I'll get it booked in.
But still no match for the C7 which did 11.1 on the day !

C6 may be the second quickest but that would still be good enough for most

I admire your honesty but as said get a boost check

The c6 is still monumental in power but keep talking them down as I want one under £30k :biggrin3:

Wow the C7 is a beast still great for the C6 aswell. APR RS7 on 1/4 mile getting mid 10s at 130mph+ still some more I'n there if that can do it I think the C7 can. Great 1/4 mile by both cars :biggrin3:

The C7 time is nuts, hopefully your C6 will be close soon and it's something simple.

On a side note I wish they'd done a better job of the rear end on the C7, it's too flat!

any HP / TQ figures on the C7? 11.1 is very respectable! Kudos! :biggrin3:
