Someone stop me.

Seems a bit pricey to me.
You should be able to get 10% off a new one, so with those extras, a new one should come out to around £72k on the road.
Extras I have assumed are Matalic, Mobile High, Dynamic Pack, Panoramic Roof.
I would look around and see what new cars Dealers have in stock, do this towards the end of the month.

I've just copied & pasted, so the value is up for discussion anyway. I'll jump onto the config to see where it comes out at.

Thanks

No sports exhaust, but has the dynamic and sunroof which I'm led to believe are regular "must haves.

Also, I thought the only way to get black window strips was with the carbon package, so it may have this. If so its not bad (if you want the £4k carbon that is).

Discounts available on new with those options could get you into a brand new one four months from now at around the same price I reckon.

Price is fair IMO.

Only other facet, if this is a factor for you, is that as a used car, the finance rate won't be as good as on a new order. That said I think the price more than compensates for this.

As suspected, carbon is on it. No keyless though by the looks of it.

I wish dealers would learn to list the genuine options to make perusing cars easier. It's pointless listing stuff like "ABS" and "air conditioning" in a car's description, for example, but they always do.

And it would help if they bothered to get the details that they do list right - in this example first the spec says it's got chrome exhaust trims (so that's a standard exhaust, then) and next moment it's got "Sports exhaust". Jeez, you'd think it would be in their interests to get this stuff right.

On some cars you can read up to twenty lines of "options" and find it's completely standard.

I've not got keyless on my RS4 either. To be honest, following the fairly well publicised hack that can be done to override keyless cars, I'm happy to go the extra mile & put the key in the ignition. I'm not that old that it's an effort, yet.....

:P

@ Wildbore - I agree, especially when they list utterly mundane specs like 'rear wiper'!! :bash:

The 195/65R15 tyres must have been a b*gger to get on 21" wheels.

This has all come about due to me enquiring about a new RS4 to replace my current B8 from my normal dealer. I have a good relationship with them & would rather keep my business with them, if I take it any further.

As for the cost, thats obviously the price they sent me before we start to negotiate......

I get the OTR of that car to £92,695 in the configurator. Though that contains no less than £5,750 worth of carbon bits.

I suppose it depends how important that carbon is to you.

If you took the carbon out of the OTR price, its £86,945. Then take off the £10k its possible to discount a car by and you are at effectively £77k for a new one (obviously less the carbon), with the added benefit of a much better PCP deal being available on the new car if you require it.

Why anyone would splurge near six grand on carbon bits but then hold out on the £575 for the keyless is beyond me tbh.

As for keyless being easier to nick, I'd rather have somebody clone the code and steal it off the drive while my wife & children sleep soundly than have the low life break in and take the keys with violence.

Well, if I knew the answer I'd comment, but I obviously didn't spec the car. The carbon isn't that much interest, but then neither are your arguments re keyless. I live in an apartment block which at times I even struggle to get into as a resident, so I can't see anyone getting closer. If they chose to do it in broad day light on the street I'd simply give them the keys.

Chesterfield, I don't know you, so I am possibly miles off of the mark here, but you seem to be rather negative about the car as a whole. Not sure why though......

Regardless, thanks for the comments. There have been some useful pointers on it.
