Weekend car???
Weekend car???
I've a C6 which is an awesome car.....but, it doesn't feel very 'weekend car'. I don't use it daily (only 33k on the clock). So am considering a Rs4 vert or maybe an early R8.
Anyone had both? Would be interested in your thoughts.....

Re: Weekend car???
I've had x2 B7 verts and picking up my 5th R8 on Monday.
Early R8 FTW.
But finding a good one for a good price is tricky
Go V10

Re: Weekend car???
Would love a v10 but out of my price range...would prefer the 4vert but as you put on other thread, finding one that isn't black seems the challenge!
Re: Weekend car???
Chemlsford Audi just advertised a V8 R8 mugello blue black leather and CF interior for £41,850.
Good value from an Audi dealer.

Re: Weekend car???
I agree sounds like a good price, still around 50% of list price when new 7 years ago, pretty impressive residual.HYFR wrote:Chemlsford Audi just advertised a V8 R8 mugello blue black leather and CF interior for £41,850.

Re: Weekend car???
Yep...R8 residuals are nuts.
My black V10 spyder I bought for £65k last September is up for sale at a trader for £69k.
This V8 from Chemlsford Audi wouldn't depreciate at all if you ran it for 6months.
Slightly higher on the miles at 58k but Audi warranty should keep you safe.

Re: Weekend car???
Wouldn't the vert be a bit wallowy for a weekend car? Something more focused surely? The R8 would be awesome if it's within reach, if not then a Boxster / Cayman would be a great car.
Re: Weekend car???
yeah the vert is a plate of jelly
Re: Weekend car???
Yeah but different drive - top down, just chilling. Got bikes for going fast.
Re: Weekend car???
I'd say go for a Boxster mate. They are so nimble and the steering feedback is simply amazing. I had a 987 Boxster for 3 months and it was fantastic, just not practice enough for me in the long run. Different story altogether as a second car though.
