There was an engine for sale i come across down Dover/Folkestone somewhere....It is/was a complete block and heads but without any ancillaries. Not sure whether he had the turbos or not. Apparently the heads were off the car for an inspection and are/were still off it.

That is the retail price (I believe) that Vag parts where quoting someone.....don't know if it's +VAT or not

Surely you'd sell the S4 and buy an RS4 rather than spend this much?

Naaa....what would you want a poncy estate for....;)

You could always have a S4 Avant Bimoto (S4 engine for the front wheels, RS4 engine for the back).....no requiremennt for a center diff then !

That should stir 'em up....surely if you do that you'd need two RS4 engines, mere 26K plus fitting....
