Put the kids on the bus and worry about the interior when you fall out of love with the V10

R8 doesnt have enough seats for me now. Nor would it get used if it were just a weekend car. I cancelled my order for the Huracan a few weeks ago, and if its 4WD then thats where its at now imho, other than the Aventador, but Ive got a couple of fillings in my teeth and I cant be bothered with replacing them every other week.

Im a little confused over the claim that XFR-S comes fully loaded compared to the RS.

Given the base price, and closely matched discounts (16% on XF and just over 11% on the RS6) I dont see there being much of a price differential at all imho, not for similarly specced cars at least.

Plus, the fact you can get a sizeable 16% discount on a vehicle that has litterally just been released speaks volumes about the confidence the manufacturer has on prices here in the UK. Depreciation will not be kind on a new RS6, it will be a good kick in the balls, but on the XF it will be with a steel toe cap.

The XF-S I had before was just garbage in anything other than bone dry conditions, in the snow it was just pathetic. Worse than the F430 in the snow if Im honest, it was just awful.
The ownership experience I had with Jaguar was the worst I have ever ecountered. The dealer delivered a car that had a pretty obvious and large paint fault. It took them three attempts and several months to try and get the car painted properly, and even then it never was. Jaguar the manufacturer wanted no part in it at all, they could not care less and sent me a letter stating that it was not their concern and I should just liaise with the dealer. It will take an awful lot for me to even consider buying a Jaguar again, and the 2WD slower, higher fuel consumption of the XFR-S is not doing enough to convince me that its worth entertaining. Even if it includes seats that cool as standard.

This will be my first Audi, although I did own a VW Golf Mk4 a few years ago, and having seen their work on the Huracan, then Im confident that it will be well built sports package. The E63 AMG S in 4wd would be another contender and even quicker, but it just looks awful imho.

Well when Audi want to charge you £4k for carbon fibre external trim when the XFR-S has carbon fibre splitter, rear diffuser and bumper vents as standard it all adds up.

But I would stick with the C7, looking like the best Audi since the R8 in 2007

True, but then the base price on the XFR-S is more than the RS by some £5-7K.

Though Ill grant you, the price for the carbon bits from Audi is just a joke. I could get custom made carbon bits for less than that!

Sorry, meant XF Sportbrake.......the ride quality was superb but only when it was dry. I never could get used to the touch screen either, I much prefer the intuitive controls on my RS6

I'd agree with that to an extent. Some S cars are pretty good (current S3 mainly and maybe S8), but other than that....

Yeah S8 is nice, but arguably a XJ SuperSport is better looking, cooler and more of a drivers car.

S3? I'd rather a Golf R

There is no passion in an Audi. No design. Just white goods with a posh badge.

RS and R8 aside

Have you ever driven a boggo vectra or mondeo, it's worse than water boarding

I've driven a Feckus, not Mundeno.
