Hold the brake, rev up to 3k. Let go of the brake and push the pedal to the metal.

Works like a charm and is truly exhilarating.

I guess advice is don't do it every day... :P

Sounds like fun!

I do have previous for doing this in my Dad's brand new XJR about 18 years ago and lunched the gearbox the first time I tried it. I know things have moved on since then but doing this still gives me the fear somewhat. I guess if for some reason I'm scared 700bhp might not quite do the trick off the lights then I may have to give it a go ;)

You're brave, sounds like a sure fire way to wreck the gearbox!

I've done it once :) That's more or less enough.

The gearbox was reprogrammed to do that - effect similar to launch control (gearbox is disengaged until you release brake pedal)
If you're UK-based, MRC can do this for you

Why is mapping so expensive? When I owned EVO's they were always mapped by what they like to call Geek mappers I had no problem what so ever fantastic performance and normally for a couple of beers yet now on these you have to fork out well over a grand seems ridiculous do we not have any Geek mappers on here ????

Messing with boost, timing and ignition is one thing. Any "geek" can do that (*raises hand* :bigwave:)

I believe our cars are a bit more than just increasing boost and adjusting timing a bit. Especially if your geek goes wrong somewhere.
