My mate has this stereo in his b7 any one know how

Post by Jamiestanton » Thu Jun 12, 2014 7:11 pm

Any one know how to get you an iPod or an iPhone connected to the stereo. My car is an a4 b7. The stereo is the audi concert. I have an iPod connector in the glove box but when I put my phone in it won't connect and says on my phone "system not supported".

step 1. flip car over so its back on its wheels

I know a few guys that run the AUX input directly to their headphone jack. That might be a good option?

That's an Audi Concert 2 (their most basic stereo) and it sounds like it's got the (rubbish) Audi iPod interface (which connects using the CD changer interface) in the glovebox.

Best cheap bet is to replace the Audi iPod interface with a Dension one (which will show track info in the DIS if you get the right one).

Hi there,
I had the same unit when I purchased my RS4. Removed it and initially installed a Zenec unit - looked good but was crap and unreliable. After only 4 months and having the Zenec unit replaced with another Zenec unit that failed as well, had a Pioneer installed and way happier. Full connectivity all access and up to date sat nav!
Hope this was helpful
