Huge crash for #1 Audi in Practice - Le Mans

Post by gdavison » Wed Jun 11, 2014 5:19 pm

Image

Loic Duval was driving .. Audi have said he is back at medical centre and concious .. (rumours he has a broken leg)

No news re if ACO rules will allow a new Monocoque and also use of reserve driver at this stage, also will Lucas and Tom be able to get their required drive time in qualifying etc

Might only be a 2 car Audi team ..

Last year Krohn racing where allowed to rebuild completely with a brand new chassis donor after a write off in the Wednesday practice ... so its been allowed before

Also some of the pictures emerging on the interwebs are showing the front section to be "fairly intact".. so maybe they can pack some grease in the bearings and pressure the DRC ..

Official from Joest Racing

Examinations in the hospital of Le Mans have confirmed that the Audi driver is unhurt apart from two grazes to the skin

[WTF .. two grazes .. jeez they build those cars well]

Audi Sport Team Joest tries everything to have the car No. 1 ready and running in Thursday's qualifying sessions

[better than my dealer can do basic service! ]

He was lucky to get out of that with only a couple of scrapes that's for sure.
