I bet the Japanese car community love this. When I was in Japan I saw very few fast audi's, and when one was about, everyone made a massive fuss over it
Are you based in Tokyo city, as I bet that traffic is frustrating with that car ?

s4tokyo,
I see the oil cap cover from the R8. They do brighten up the engine bay.
But you have left the original radiator cap alone though there is a replacement one from the R8 as well. Why is that? Can I know what else you have done to the car?
thanks

Re: Daytona Grey B8 _ Blog Photo Folder
Thread has taken a little bit of life……’poster child’…’nice pics’…’no (R8) radiator cap’….. and ’driving in Tokyo’…and 'mods done (planned)?'.
Formerly B8 S4 owner, so had some soft touch cosmetic add-on's from then, such as Headliner White LED’s, R8 Oil Fill Cap (have never thought about the Radiator one), Carbon Rear License Plate Frame, …and Driver Recorder and Speed Radar as yet still uninstalled. Added Japan RS4 (small) Logo Floor Mats and Black (discrete) quattro decal on rear doors. ….Heavy mods as you can see;-)
Really ‘want’ the Carbon Manifold Cover, but cannot source from Japan. A guy in Poland seems to have shafted me, having paid online for OEM Part in March
I tried initially through family member in UK, but he was told Audi only sell as Package Option [so too expensive:-( ]. Separately, just like with LHD, I’d like a matching Footrest Pedal, BUT Original Aluminium/Stainless RHD Part is not manufactured, only the Plastic one it seems.
Bought 20’ Continental Winter tires - which had to import from US as Audi Japan forces you to buy 19” alloys and tires. Not a high mileage snow driver in Winter so the 20”s on stock alloys worked this year. Next Winter hope to get same 20” Winter tire-new Winter Alloy set. [The Winter Conti’s performed well I thought, felt very assured driving with them in snow/ice when I did]
Not set for ‘real mods’ at this time, suspension or engine - whatever may lie ahead, but maybe after some time passes, will look into Akrapovic Exhaust. Love what I’ve seen (media only), although price will be the obvious hurdle.
As to Tokyo driving, Tokyo is not ‘that’ bad;-) Sure, it’s like many modern cities, BUT if I was in Manhattan for example, I’m sure I’d have shot my suspension in first week!:-) Roads here are smoother ..and for the most part run freely. Speed checks / cameras are of course an issue but ‘touch leather’ you wise up to where, when and how far / fast you can evade the speed limits. Highways likewise…and country roads are just like most other countries, largely camera / radar free. No denying however, DO wish Autobahn rules applied on occasion:-)
Lastly, the pics, they come compliments of a former S4 owner Forum friend. As a hobby Photographer he’s become half Pro in my humble estimation. (Nice Blog as you may have noticed from link above).

Re: Daytona Grey B8 _ Blog Photo Folder
s4tokyo, I manage to source one myself on ebay. I think the guy still has 2 more. It's on the international site as of today.
Like you, the mark up by the local dealer on the carbon engine cover is very high during the car ordering phase(I used the UK car configurator price for the engine cover as benchmark.). So I decided not to go for it then. However, I saw the gruppe M intake and thought maybe it will go well with the engine cover.
It looks stock, quality is very high, so I have no reason to believe it is aftermarket. Can't wait to put it on when I eventually get the gruppe M.
