need a reasonable and good quality detail East London

Can anyone recommend a good detailer that is also reasonable on cost. I am buying a car which has been used as a family car and the owner has not treated the car like an enthusiast would, so loads of swirl marks and scuffing on the door entry kick plates. It therefore needs a good deep clean throughout as well as some minor paint correction on one panel where a cosmetic spray job was blended in.

I live near Stratford in East London, so someone around here would be good.

A good detail going on what you have said can be anywhere from £450 upwards to get the car looking great again, I would take it around to a few places and see what they say, a Detail shouldn't be done on the budget you have, it should be done on the detailers recommendations, for example if the detailer says it needs a 2 stage correction then you should go with that, a detailer IMO who offers "details" based on customers budget is not, it would be skimped badly and these days you see a lot of people coming out of the works who say they are detailers just cause they have attended a day's training with a reputable place.

a few years back I had my VW polo done, its a 04 reg and was hit by the £5 car washes over the years and when it was clean and the sun was out you could tell.

I paid £550 for it to get it back to perfect and that's a very small car, I went on the recommendations of the detailer for the correction and I am glad I did or I would of got a posh valet if I had walked in and said I only wanted to spend £150, not saying or implying that's what you want to do bud but if you want to get it details then get it done the whole hog or I don't think you will be happy with the results.

Thanks Trups, I think you are right and wasn't trying to say I wanted a posh wash either. I want a good value detail. Don't want to spend 000's for the privilege however. Hope that is what you are also saying.

Yes that is what I was implying, go to a detailed and see what they quote, don't let them quote on budget as I think they will skimp the job.

If you go on detailing world they can quote you, reflect russ on the forum you can try as he is a site Sponsor and I did see he had an offer on.

Hi Steve as Trups has said, budgets do hinder the ability of what can be achieved and yes maybe some corners would be cut during the intricate areas of cleaning etc, as with me my "work to budget" work doesnt include the free day for checking my work off, for example you have a 2 day recondition done it costs you £525 but you get a full 2 days of around 10hrs a day, in most cases more, you then get a full day etc free gratis for me to inspect my own work and check it of, finalise in my own time, yes the job will be complete in the 2 day scale but wouldnt have been checked, which is what sets me different to most others, book a 2 day with say xmen corrections and you are told you can pick it up after 2 days, you will probably get 14hrs work done if you are lucky as the 2nd day would be cut in half because to thoroughly check the work and finalise you are looking at between 2 and 4 hrs, thats 2-4 hrs you are paying someone to check work they have already been paid for happy days, as you could see with me you would get both full days paid for as actual work.

Now that is how I work and its my policy to keep clients completely in know and have their mind at rest.

London though there are a few around and i do know some really good guys that I could point you towards but they may or may not be within your mindset of how much you want to spend.

As trups has stated I have a 3 day deal on at the minute which is a cracker, its whether you have the funds to go for it and whether you think the car is worth spending on, I will be blatantly honest with you the 2 day figure from myself is purely for example purposes, my normal bookings are between 4 and 7 days with the exception of the Merc Sl350 I have in, thats a 10 day complete paint recondition.
