Send the VB to 517 for $650 plug freight, but you might end up needing a new loom anyways. Both purchases would be peace of mind.

Why do you need a new loom? Can't it be repaired?

Id imagine it would be brittle after a decade in oil or damaged?

I'd want a look at it first. Anyone inspected their's when having the oil changed? Nobbster? You serviced yours if I remember correctly, did you inspect the loom at all?

A new VB is more than 2k IIRC.

Do what bam said.

Assume you meant plus freight ( took me a while to work that out). How long did it take for yours bum?

It was back with me in 2-3 weeks. I did have to chase it but I wasn't militant. Depending on how busy they were it could be a 10-14 day round trip. Its customs value was 20USD so maybe that sped things up for freight. Ensure it is packed very, very well. It's easily damaged.

I am told there is one gearbox fault code that has come up so would greatly appreciate any information / advise anyone can give me on the possible fault and solution to this problem?

Anyone got any ideas what is causing this and what the solution is?
This is the exact same code as mines is throwing up :-/

My loom didn't seem bad, but I didn't mess with it that much for fear of breaking something.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has posted a reply, I will look into getting the wiring loom replaced, do you think it would be worth replacing the two solenoids or not? I take it that it is a fairly straight forward job to replace these parts or will it require a specialist to do?

Thanks again everyone for your help, hopefully this will sort the problem or should I also be doing something else?
