It's true I love the C5. I always ask why we don't buy those cars or pay more attention to them . We didn't get the c6 or c7 over here, but we had c5 saloons. I saw one yesterday and as usual I thought... "why don't I buy one, gut the precats, and get my friend to tune it for me?"

I just wish they were a bit newer... No nav and bluetooth etc and unfortunately they've all got 100,000+ miles on them here so they're just falling to pieces for the most part. They're businessman cruisers here. Unfortunately most are poorly maintained.

My B7 is pretty quick. With the reasonably simple addiction of a supercharger there isn't a C5 on earth that will touch it.

There's basically 3 American TUNERS for these cars (of size) . APR, GIAC, JHM.

All three use the dragstrip to supplement dyno claims. That's a huge change though...just 5 years ago the market here was mired in dyno claim bullsh1t. Like yours is now. Good to see MRC changing that. Once you guys figure out the scam the work the good tuners are doing will elevate them from the BS artists . that's how this market changed... The customers stood up once people realised they were being ripped off.

I have seen some ripples on here about tuners who are full of it and not delivering on claims. For the most part though the market's pretty passive and content to get ass-raped.

If it's a TTS charged RS4 that's about 250 hp LESS than bambam Claims and only weighs about 200lbs less than a C5. Bambam should obliterate it, not be surprisingly close. He claims 800+hp! For perspective this would be like me being chuffed staying level with a stock a1 tdi.

Besides once there's a corner the C5 has no chance if the drivers are equal skill. It's a bahn stormer, not a track weapon.

This is why using a race track to evaluate power gains is useless. Bravery, technique, experience as well as handling components and acceleration alone can each influence the results dramatically. If we are measuring power, acceleration is all that matters. Let's find a test that only measures acceleration, not acceleration and a dozen other things.
