C6 to C7
Re: C6 to C7
There's quite a few threads out there that discuss.
In short it moves things on, it's a better handling car and the interior and technology is a generation on as you'd expect.

Yes, I thought this would have been discussed before.
However, a car's qualities often really only shine after a period of ownership and as the C7 has been out for a while now I was looking for some real world thoughts.

Re: C6 to C7
Had all three - C5, C6 and C7
C6 to C7 - feels more like they are totally different cars than C5 to C6
In gear performance in the C7 is way better than the C6 - most of this feels like its down to the 8 speed box.
Handling is far superior - still a bit wooden but much more feel than the C6
Engine note is somewhere between the C5 and the C6 - V8 sound of the C5 but with a slightly harder edge of the C6
I use sport mode a lot more in the C7, it seems more useful than it was in the C6 and it certainly makes a difference to the engine note and you get the lovely overrun burble if you've specked the sport exhaust (which I think is a must have)
Better fuel economy - but not by much - most noticeable in town though where I'm about 40% better (but do we really care about the greens?)
My partner has driven all three and she certainly prefers the C7 to drive
Overall a big step forwards

Hi.Agree with the last post.P/x my C6 for C7 2 weeks ago and completely different car.C7 is incredibility refined in comparison and the ride and handling are in a different league. My old C6 was running with 742 bhp and was a missile in a straight line but hopeless in the bends and was seriously concerned I would miss the power but the C7 actually feels faster from the off but lacks the sheer brute force the V10 offers when to get into silly speeds but now up to 9 points so not so concerned at the moment.Undoubtably, a map will become available for the C7 at some point and will be even stevens again. To sum it up,I wouldn't go back to a C6 if it was given to me such is leap cars and am also getting reasonable distance now before fill ups to boot.Go for it!!
Re: C6 to C7
Many maps all ready out for the c7. Over 700hp results coming out
1*** hp TTE C6 rs6 saloon and the ultimate WB B5

Have you/amyone heard any 'concerns' about the C7 gearbox handling 700hp? It being DSG I mean.S4Player wrote:Many maps all ready out for the c7. Over 700hp results coming out

Yes, one of the best ever made. The ubiquitous ZF 8-Speed that's in everything at the moment. From 135is to torque-heavy mad AMG beasts.esp_mm-270 wrote:So, the C7 'box is auto basically?doodlebug wrote:C7 RS6 is ZF 8 speed slush. S6 has S-Tronic.
