I am under no rose tinted illusions when it comes to cars, having owned 'dodgy' TVRs et all to this current RS4. Whilst no car is perfect very few come close to what the RS4 achieves as an all round uber pacey family car! We could all be in Espace's you know Diesel!!!

fantastic car, but shop around, my experience was not to trust the
stealers, i bought private via this site and luv it,
that said its soon departing after 10 months of pure pleasure for
a rs6, so beware, whilst the 4 is an estate, dont beleive anyone
who says u can fit in the kitchen sink as well.

What you talking about, I've had a full size bath in the back of mine!!

Oh and as I always say, "Bang for buck, you'll be hard pushed to find anything that comes close to an RS4".

He is right you know, To get anything with the same performance, street cred appearance and general ability to lug four adults and all their bags for a boys weekend away, you are going to need to spend at least double what a good RS4 will cost you today :kissmyrings:

Not sure about that......you can get yourself into an early RS6 saloon for low £30ks and into the Avant from mid £30ks upwards.
Check out prices on Autotrader.
Cheers fc

ps i assume the RS6 has the required "street cred" you are on about?

Ouch.......had not realised RS6's had dropped that much.... I looked at a 18 month old Avant late last year and it was still well North of £45K.......Shows you what the RS4 has if the prices are still where they are.

Yep..might be about to start a flame war here, but I don't think the RS6 has or will attract the same level of enthusiasm as the RS4 did/does..

Perhaps the auto box, perhaps it's a bit barge like...who knows...but you can't deny the fact that the prices haven't held as well as the RS4's...I suppose the smaller numbers of the RS4 help too.

Oh, and the Rs6 is ugly  :FIREdevil:

Anyway regards the weather if any of you guys have got Broadband and a bit of time to spare click on this link (996TT Tribute Vid) It's got to be one of the best!!! (along side the RS4 v M5 on this forum) anyway it's a huge file, but be patient, it's worth it!

Probably a stupid question, but how does a 911T do 'dohnuts' like that with 4WD? Ours can't can they? Not that I would consider trying...

I wondered that too...as some stages you can see the fronts trying to grip...maybe they just have a more rearward bias on the 4wd ?

There is a Black RS6+ with congac(tan) hide going around Aberdeen at the moment and IMHO it is the most impressive looking RS car i have ever seen.
Stunning looking car!

Well said Frank. Should be up in Aberdeen soon and can add another plus for a day or two!

I must say I think the RS4 is better looking than the RS6 Plus but I've had both and I know which one I'd rather have.

I'll PM you when I know the dates for the visit, maybe we can have that pint!

Cheers, MartynC

You Aberdeen boys have obviously got too much money. Must be all that oil. Remember working up there in the eighties and watching the Ballater lads from the rigs in their Cosworths getting laid a lot.
