Look up EU Block exemption rules.
The first rule states:
1.Freedom for a franchised dealer and/or an ‘authorised repairer’ to purchase up to 70%’of their purchases of ‘original spare parts’ and ‘matching quality’ spare parts from independent market operators of their choice
The key here is "matching quality" spare part. So if you buy an aftermarket exhaust then this does not mean the entire warranty on the whole car is void.
Obviously the manufacturer does not have to warrant the replaced part however if the sun roof then fails they can not without showing the inferior part directly caused the fault dishonour the warranty claim.
Audi Customer care email address? Dealer riping me off?

Yes....you'd have to have big balls to wade into court on that. Much interpretation there.adsgreen wrote:Look up EU Block exemption rules.

Different laws apply to the OEM 3yr warranty and the aftermarket insured mondial warranty.
And I agree, with the Mondial insured product, you must abide by their T&C's and if they state that you must brush your teeth with cement twice a week on a Tuesday at 2pm then you must do that to maintain the warranty.
But, as an insurance product they are regulated and an ombudsman will take a dim view on them not honouring failure of one item because a completely unrelated item has been tampered with.

Re: Audi Customer care email address? Dealer riping me off?
Has anyone threatened to goto the ombudsmen for their case? Supposedly it costs insurance companies and banks just for a investigation about them so threatening them with ombudsmen for something which might cost less than the fine could mean they change their tone
