If your worried about economy sell the car ..... I took my audi quattro out yesterday and that does about 20 urban , 34-36 on a run and the rs4 does similar yet twice as powerful . A focus rs does about the same if not worse so you pays your money and makes your choice

I've often wondered the same thing, it doesn't matter but I usually hover around the 17mpg! 20mpg is only seen on the motorway roadworks!

Try running a C6 RS6!!!

I see single figures MPG wise daily around town, and it's a miracle if I ever better circa 21 on a good day or long run.

Seriously...I couldn't care less....you can't run these cars worrying about some other guy getting 2-3mpg more than you.

I manage to drive 400-450km/fuel tank depending on my driving style and conditions. My neighbor has an Audi S4 B8 and he said he's got similar fuel consumption (appr.14L/100km).

I thought mine was really good. On juice especially when compared to m5 and gtr worth every penny of what they cost to run

I average around 20mpg on my urban commute and around 24mpg on long A-road & motorway drives, or around 26mpg when pottering in southern France.

My worst was 16mpg in the winter of 2008 when it was really cold and a 5 mile commute took 45 minutes stuck in traffic.

But as already said, I don't care about the mpg - the sound more than compensates.

I don't bother looking at MPG but I know it is worse than our 6. From brimmed tank to a bit below the lowest dot on the gauge I had around 136 miles last week. Desperately in need of some MRC love methinks.....
Current:

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

Gone:

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm
12' Cayenne Turbo, B7 RS4, S3, Cupra R, XJR, EVO VII, STI8,5,2&WRX, 106 GTI&XSI, other crap.

I get between 17-20 all urban, normally 200ish miles to a tank full. There not good on fuel but no performance cars are, even if you get a hot hatch it will struggle to do better than 20ish urban
