Re: Finally something without rs6 tax!
always remember many many years ago when I popped the mirror control knob off the switch on the door in a passat that I had. went to the parts counter at the local VAG distributor, and asked for a new one. I knew the guy at the counter, and he laughed when I asked for one (seemingly it was a common problem
disappeared in the back and came back with a switch in a bag, and asked me if I wanted the seat, skoda, vw or audi one. I asked him what was the difference and he said (and this is cloudy but I do remember the 6x differential between cheapest and dearest) something along the lines of 5, 7, 12 and 30 pounds (thats how long ago this was
and I asked him what the actual difference was and he said nothing - they are all this one here

Re: Finally something without rs6 tax!
bought the exact button for 8.27 pounds, brand new and original
, that was cheap indeed..also bought at the same time the front windows switches surrounding trim for the same price each...i guess they wanted to get rid of it as nobody buys them anymore. Here is a good one, we bought last year from Audi a brand new set of 4 x 19" rims for the RS6 C5 for about 1.146 pounds, they had it in their warehouse for the last 5-6 years and after an hour of negotiation with the manager we got them down to the above price from 3.274 pounds asking price, that was a really good deal. Also saw in their warehouse an 18' set for the RS6, they were willing to sell it for the same price, curious what other goodies they might have left in there...

I read that as you bought a set of OEM RS6 Ronals for £1.14. Is that true?!?!?mik15 wrote:bought the exact button for 8.27 pounds, brand new and original, that was cheap indeed..also bought at the same time the front windows switches surrounding trim for the same price each...i guess they wanted to get rid of it as nobody buys them anymore. Ballsy, if it were £3.27 I wouldn't have been haggling. That's crazy!

Re: Finally something without rs6 tax!
I wonder how much the 18" set would be after negotiation. 99p?

Mind you, wouldn't put it past an accountant to haggle down from £3.27...

Remember once an interior plastic light cover on ATR 42 ( mostly French aero plane) being identical to one in Citroen BX.
