Updated Audi finance offer

Post by Moonmonkey831 » Tue Apr 01, 2014 11:33 pm

Contribution seems to have dropped from 7k to 4k. Although the finance rate has also dropped from 6.6 to 4.9

Not sure if that works out as better or worse than before!

Cars to be ordered before 30th June and delivered by 31st December.

Number of variables here. Assuming a typical value over a typical repayment period you'll be 'up' by a v small amount only after a drop in both contribution / rate.
Same deal then really just de-risked at the front end from Audi perspective?

Or they've had enough of people taking the 7k then paying off the finance immediately? / dealer complaints

The monthly payment is the same....what was the customer deposit last time on their headline example?

On that basis its not as good.

You need to put more deposit down to achieve same monthly payment and same balloon.

Although Q2 is a quiter quarter for dealers...so if you wait til June to order and find a dealer struggling to hit their Q2 target, I'm sure a big fat discount should be possible....

Then other lever is the additional discount you can get from the dealer I guess.

I eventually got a 65k car for 53k so was happy in the end

Can't wait to pick it up Friday!

I wonder if the residuals will be taking a hit due to a higher volume if cars in the world because of the offer.

According to this

http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/au ... attro_auto:

There were just shy if 500 rs4's in the UK at end if Q3 2013.

Wonder what the number is now after the last 6 months of incentives :)

I still haven't seen an RS4 on the road since I ordered mine in January though!
