Trigger pulled... order placed

Post by Lewy » Sat Mar 29, 2014 6:03 pm

Hi Guys,

I've been stalking the forum for a while... finally pulled the trigger on my new RS6, here is the spec:

Colour Choice: Crystal Prism Silver
Interior Colour: Valcona leather RS Super Sports seats, Black with Rock Grey stitching

Factory Option:
Audi hands-free boot opening system with Advanced key (not with Carbon Styling Package)
Audi parking system advanced with top view
Dynamic Package - Top speed restriction increase to 174mph/RS sports suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control/Dynamic steering/All-LED headlights including high-beam assist (removes tow bar bracket preparation)
Heated front and rear seats
Matt Aluminium Styling Package - Side flaps & top edge of rear diffuser insert in matt aluminium-look/Air intake duct in matt aluminium-look with quattro logo in titanium grey
Mobile telephone preparation - High with Audi connect
Panoramic glass sunroof
Privacy glass - dark-tinted rear and rear-side windows (from B-pillar backwards)
Reversible luggage compartment mat (fabric/rubber)
Smoking Package - Cigarette lighter/Ashtray (replaces 12V socket in front)
Sports exhaust
Alloy wheels - 21 x 9.5J 5-twin-spoke design black-gloss with 285/30 R21 tyres

A bit of an upgrade from the current 3.0TDI Quattro 'Le Mans' which has served me very well for 3 years. After coming from a 997.2 GT3 hoping this single car will tick all the boxes...

Delivery expected in July, discount secured via Broadspeed of 11.3% ;-)

Happy bunny!

Congrats & welcome to the C7 club, hopefully July is correct as most people who have ordered have had a six month wait  Either way is going to be worth the wait, honest :beerchug:

Oh I nearly forgot FON.

Nice

Will you be able to see the Ali pack against the prism silver?

Carbon pack and Titan alloys for the win with prism.

Welcome.

Hi Chris,

I really wanted the carbon pack but thought the cost was just a little over the top. I think the ali pack will 'blend' nicely with Prism silver.

Not a big fan of black wheels, however the black gloss and silver accents really set the car off IMHO.

Cheers for the welcome,
Lewy

Change of heart... changed the spec... thanks to RS6Chris ;-)

Car will now look like this:

Daytona Grey / Carbon Styling pack...

Had the "have I chosen the right colour?" worries this morning. After trawling autogespot had to change from Prism to Daytona and add the Carbon Pack.... to hell with the cost! :beerchug:

Hi, I have been lurking here for a few weeks but this is my first post.

I was all set to order an Estoril Blue car but was gutted to find it had been pulled a few weeks before I went to the dealers. Since then I have been hanging back to see whether some new colours come along (interested to see what Sepang looks like - if it is brought in to replace Estoril, that is; rumour has it...).

But this Daytona car looks pretty tempting. Can I ask, are those wheels the black or titanium finish?
Thanks

No plans to add colours I'm afraid. Misano with carbon or Daytona with alu pack.

Prism with carbon was the right choice, here is an RS4 in prism! See how low light brings it out

Daytona is nice, but not special enough, or rather once everyone orders it in that spec it won't be

you can't go wrong with daytona, but I'm not sure the greys and silvers bring out the best in the C7.

I would go Misano and carbon or Misano and alu if you want to save a few k. Was never really sure about Misano before seeing and driving a C7 in it with carbon pack which was stunning yet very very smart at the same time...

There is a very well specced second hand one in this colour combo for sale at newbury Audi if you want to see just how good it looks

Thanks for the tip on Newbury. I may well go and see that (Misano doesn't look great in pictures but sometimes red cars work brilliantly in the flesh). Off to see a Panther Black one at Walton Audi today - not convinced about that colour (I always worry that it will look like a hearse - unless, of course, you give it the full treatment like the black car shown in this thread).
