So how much did he pay for them? I have no intention of bidding as they wont fit in my car! Just curious!

I was also loosly looking at the idea of some nice new seats.. Would make a huge difference. anyone had any experience or is it more of a pain than it's worth? can they be re-connolised, or wahtever the expression is...

Thanks for that, intertesting to understand what re connolising actually entails - I thought it was re-covering with new leather, I fancied black instead of the silver!

Hmm interesting. I find the B5 Recaros are too wide for my narrow frame with poor shoulder suport. I've considered fitting the new design i.e. B6 Recaros like this but then they won't have the RS4 logo on the seat and I'd have to have them recovered to suit my Hi-tech material. So not the best option for me. I'll have to wait until the new RS4 comes out and see what seats are fitted to it :D

PS that rear seat looks twisted not suprising given this came from a write off and what kind of stain was he trying to remove ??? Still it looks like a good buy for someone looking to up grade their interior.

Now up to £775... still a reasonable buy I think even for S4 seats.

I'm not 100% sure but I would say almost definitely not fit in a B5

I don't see why the front seats would not fit a B5 with the correct seat base to floor mounts. You may have to have something welded up/modified but it wouldn't be that difficult.

The only complicated issue for me as (I'm crap with electrics) would be if the car didn't have the wiring for the motors and also I'm not sure where the side air bags get their control from?
