Re: Carbon Clean New technology
Fella - spend sometime searching and reading threads on terraclean here - basically don't even think about it if you have a RS4 B7 its pointless
Re: Carbon Clean New technology
I had mine done just after i brought it, cost £120 and made no noticeable difference at all, not that my car felt bad before, i just had it done as a general maintence thing i guess. Think it can be good on some cars but no use for sorting out carbon build up issues on rs4's

Although the TerraClean may not be as intensive as a physical carbon clean such as MRC's, it is no way near as expensive either.sync24 wrote:Fella - spend sometime searching and reading threads on terraclean here - basically don't even think about it if you have a RS4 B7 its pointless
You also have to bear in mind that the carbon build up is not only on the inlet side. You have carbon deposits in the injectors, engine itself, cat's, o2 sensors, etc. The TerraClean DOES get to all of these, which do not get touched by companies who just clean the inlet manifold side.
There are 100% benefits of the service, and if you are interested in trying it, give us a call and we can explain in much more detail.
Kind regards

Do you have any empirical evidence to support these claims in RS4 B7s, such as rolling road before/afters?. If you do, please provide it as it will help.
Thanks
Re: Carbon Clean New technology
Rolling road easy to skew - what we have always wanted is either a teardown before and after or endoscope pictures.
I am a sceptic but also hopeful in someways - if the active compound can survive combustion to clean exhaust components then there is no reason why it can't have a positive effect on the intake deposits. The key is to make engine engage egr in order for the material to get there.

@ Jags - Just had a look at your web site - on the main menu on the left, 'Chip tuning' is spelt incorrectly ('Chip Tunning'). Might want to change that? (Sorry to be picky - but I just notice things like that)

Re: Carbon Clean New technology
i got this done a few weeks ago to be honest ive not noticed any difference to my power (as i was told i would notice)...fuel consumption actually feels worse 165 miles to a fuel tank of (v power)
i did notice the engine is much quieter though.

Re: Carbon Clean New technology
True, it is a fraction of the cost of a proper physical manifold removal and carbon cleaning so that's something to keep in mind.PerformanceTuningUK wrote:Although the TerraClean may not be as intensive as a physical carbon clean such as MRC's, it is no way near as expensive either.sync24 wrote:Fella - spend sometime searching and reading threads on terraclean here - basically don't even think about it if you have a RS4 B7 its pointless

Of course, a kick in the bawbag is free and will have about the same effect on my carbon as terraclean.
