2yr PCP
Re: 2yr PCP
It was 6k pa. Thou, but if its not your DD then shouldn't be a massive issue?
Re: 2yr PCP
If only they'd do the same on the 6.
Re: 2yr PCP
I assume that's poverty spec? Either way that's bloody good.

That's on a boggo car.
But you could use the additional discount from the dealer to add spec.
I did think of your Nicky when I saw that deal !!

Re: 2yr PCP
A rule of thumb is that every 1k on options adds around £50 per month, HTH. Not seen that deal, but are you saying 6k down and 6k pa for 2 years?

After 4 B8s on my drive I'm done with it.
B9 or 8V RS 3 I reckon. For now the S3 is really a great car and so cheap to run. Haven't filled up for over a week now!
It's definitely not a RS but a bloody good S.

Can you expand a bit on the B8 S4 ownership. I've just sold my rs4 b7 as it's not suitable for a daily (wife couldn't get on with it) and am seriously thinking about a used or maybe new b8 s4.
PM is fine or thread hijack!
Thanks

Re: 2yr PCP
My B8 S4 ownership was a bloody nightmare to be honest. All that aside, it really is a great car as long as you get a specced one. For me though I would take a new S3 with some spec over the S4 if you don't need the extra space. It's more agile, modern and like the S4 has incredible tuning potential. It's just more fun.
ABT stage 1 equals 370bhp!
Stock the S3 is slightly quicker than the S4 and has less roll, better fuel economy, less tax, less insurance and looks like a mini S4.
Needs better brakes though.
You can't wrong with either and both are great motors.

Re: 2yr PCP
Nicky you are comparing apples to oranges your S4 was basic spec so you can't compare it to your S3 ,a well specced S4 with Supersports seats ,sport diff and ads is a great car and a nice enviroment the V6 supercharged is a sweet engine and highly tuneable no comparison imo.Nickyboy wrote:My B8 S4 ownership was a bloody nightmare to be honest. Re: 2yr PCP
Mine had the seats and drive select, just not the diff. Driven a few B8s with the diff and I'd still go with the S3.
I'd even take it over my old S5 which had loads of spec on it.
For me the B8 is just a bit long in the tooth but that could just be due to being in so many.
Also why can't you compare them? Similar size, similar performance, both S cars. No two cars are exactly the same and comparison of similar cars is natural.

Re: 2yr PCP
They are not similar two totally different cars Price,Size ,Number of cylinders, running costs, comfort the list goes on ."long in the tooth" your only saying this because your in a new model S3,the three is cheaper ,smaller not as luxurious than the 4 the same goes for the 4 compared to the six and the six compared to the 8.Your S4 did not have drive select and was low spec QuoteNickyboy wrote:Mine had the seats and drive select, just not the diff. No, decided £1600 was crazy for sat nav. I got
Black edition (B&O, black styling, MMI etc)
Super sport seats
Parking system
Folding mirrors
Through load
Hill hold
Favourite option is the seats followed by hill hold.
Your new S5 had Drive Select but no Damper control and not much more spec than your S4 this is what you said about it.

Did you create the config or Audi? It has Drive Select, but none of the options it works with - Damper control, dynamic steering or the sports diff.
It was Audi. I quizzed them today about this and got the answer that it will still work. I expect all it will do is alter the throttle response (same as putting the gearbox in S). Oh well.

Anyone know if the drive select is now pointless? I would say yes but I'm not too sure.
Perhaps you should read some of your old posts and reconsider see topics below.

Re: 2yr PCP
I thought drive select was standard on the S4, could be wrong. Either way I drove plenty of B8s at Milbrook, had many in my garage and test driven many so I stand by my points. B8 has been out for 7 years I believe so long in the tooth is probably valid. For me, I am ready for the B9. I loved all of my B8s and I am just expressing I prefer the S3 (except the RS 5 as this will be hard to beat as it was bloody epic).
So if my ex was fat, brunette and high maintenance are you saying I cant compare her to my current mrs because she is slim, blonde and easy going? Of course I can they are both women. I will compare them and I will compare all the cars I have owned.
Let's agree to disagree and move on.

Re: 2yr PCP
Compare by all means but as i say you are comparing apples to oranges, for a true comparison they need to be like for like cars with the same options and same driving conditions[both on a track or both on a road], its no good comparing a poverty spec car with a high spec car [apples ,oranges].Comparing your cars with women is spot on ,your in love with your latest squeeze and the sun shines out of her arse but you will soon get bored and move on to the next ,the question is will the next be as good in bed as the previous.Nickyboy wrote:I thought drive select was standard on the S4, could be wrong.
