Prawn has the motorsport kit fitted, and rates it very highly but it's far from cheap...he previously had the H&R kit fitted.

Ride height is up to you really...with adjustable suspension you could keep it at stock height if you wanted too.

As to which way to go...it depends on what you want from your car really. If you're just looking for something better than standard, try and get a ride in someones car with gmbh or H&R fitted and see what you think...

only tried gmbh when test driving gords black moster,
wife hated it, i loved :D , however to low for speed bumps in my area.
am looking for more stability when at speed on sweeping bends, hate the roll,
plus better control over normal undulations to keep missus happy :D
i want to push the car, love the power but dont have the trust in it at
100-120 plus(not in the uk of course) :D :D

Would be happy to take you out in mine sometime if you're based up near Gord (I was close to buying the black beast at one stage)...

The H&R rollbars reduce body roll a lot, much more confidence inspiring...and personally think the H&R is worth the extra over the gmbh...(there's not much in it price wise between the normal h&r and the gmbh)....the Stasis is supposed to be another level again although I've yet to experience it ;-)

Yep, try the Yoko AVS Sport. Easy and cheap mod. Does wonders on standard road and occasional track days.

IMO the Stasis Motorports are well worth the extra money and hassle of getting them.
Much more adjustability than the H&R kit and gives a much less 'crashy' ride on the road.

If you are near West Sussex at any time would be happy to take you out for a spin but
DaveP is first in line :)

Thanks for the replies guys.

I’ve been pushing it a bit more (progressively does it…) and levels of grip are actually very high and my confidence in the car has increased somewhat. I think it’s a car that needs taking by the horns, rather than the much more flattering ‘superhero-making’ go-kart like STi that I had previously and of course am comparing it to… Might still mod an STi rack though and weld it in ;)

Jeez those Stasis are expensive, but if the stock system were ever to develop a fault…(fingers crossed:))

I never had torque steer.

Please try Yokohama AVS tyres when next changing.

Get an alignment done. For now, check pressures.

RS4 was always a very stable, solid, high speed car for me.

Never nailed it in second on a B road and pulled out - maybe I'm getting bump steer - I've had the odd wrestle!!!

OK:)

That was my firs step and they are all spot on. There is NOTHING wrong with the car; its VERY tight.

Have you driven a more 'go-karty' type handling car? This is the biggest heaviest, tallest & widest tyred car I've ever had and this may be part of the equation.
