Yep, its the AMD kit, 993 TT calipers.
I havent tries the Bilsteins, I find the Konis/H&R combi a touch to harsh TBH - H&R Comfort Coilovers would be my preferred choice if I was to do it again...

Dunc, where's peak HP numbers happening in each mode on QST's dyno? This might explain the drag losses thing, post the RPMs and I'll tell you why in details

just out of interest here is the dyno graph of my car at owens absolutely standard other than unknown remap,
the light grey is the boost measured in kpa,200=1 bar boost.

max power at 6055 rpm, 207.8 km/h
max torque at 3825 rpm, 131.3 km/h
max attained rpm is 6695 rpm
stock mode:
max power at 6055 rpm, 205.2 km/h
max torque at 3130 rpm, 106.1 km/h
max attained rpm is 6755 rpm
Intake temps were 12-13C

Standard S3 is about 225 lb/ft, your car is 243 lb/ft. Have you tried another S3 with 270-300 lb/ft? Perhaps your car had a light remap to trick the reviewers with it being a press car...

Now this makes no sense at all. 6055 RPM in whichever gear (I'd assume 4th or 5th) should be 207.8km/h OR 205.2km/h, NOT both of them!!! IMHO something's screwed up there, no way the same RPM in the same gear have a 2.6km/h speed difference in two back to back runs...
But anyway, this makes no sense whatsoever, the driveline losses should remain constant at the same RPM, if your car is tuned or if it's stock, so I dunno WTH happened there...
I'm clueless here, maybe someone has some new theory that can prove me wrong or at least tell me what's wrong...

Yep some people found a small gain by sticking 45 psi in their tyres!!!! as it creates less drag.jeffw wrote:My understanding is that Tyre pressure, ride height, spings and dampers etc etc will all have an effect on a rolling road.......
To get a true dyno reading and to make sure you have got a decent gain in performance when modifying your car the conditions have to stay the same and I would in reality only compare the two HP at the wheel figures. Dynos are great tools but the customer has to know how to read the graph and the operator has to know how to use the dyno!

Lots of different figures but in stock mode my car made 301 Nm which is about 225 lb/ft - which is what i based my figures on...
the most I have ever seen on my car with a non standard revo map thats no longer on my car now was 260bhp and 301 lb/ft - The figures I have received are consistent with another REVO S3
Basically my car tends to make average to low bhp but high torque (but that just means high boost really). At QST another REVO S3 with full decat made less power than mine.
I remember we had a day at AMD where my car made 234 bhp but my losses were something like 53% and other S3s were 40 odd %
On the day Scott said my car was vibrating a lot on the dyno and mentioned something about one of my wheels...
I dont understand all these dyno figures tbh!
