Hi, picked up mine on Christmas Eve - so although I have only done 400 miles I would recommend the sports exhaust. At first I was a bit disappointed as I thought it sounded the same as the stock version I tested but put it into dynamic and transmission in sport you notice the difference. If it is too much then comfort and drive and you don't know you have it. For me it is good to have the option.

Picked mine up in Jan - go with the sports exhaust. No drone at all. Even if you set the exhaust to be in 'dynamic' mode its only open full time if you select S on the box otherwise its only open in D if you boot it.

I had mine delivered with a sports exhaust and now have the Milltek.

Its OK, never having seen or heard the std one other than on a test car I took a chance.

However, the Milltek is fantastic and love the car with it.

Cheers

have to admit, the stop start can be a bit of a pain.

its hard to predict when it is actually operational, engine needs to be warm enough, ac needs to be off.....long list of things have to be in a line for it to even function.

I find it easier to switch it off

It hasn't bothered me all that much to be honest. It certainly has helped the fuel consumption in town vs my old V10 to the tune of about 4mpg. Couple of things I would say are that:
1) if you plan to pull out of a junction or across traffic sharpish then make sure it's turned off otherwise there (obviously) is a slight lag
2) if you have park-assist fitted, then turn it off before you engage park assist, otherwise when you come to a halt to set park assist the engine stops and park assist cant be enabled

The "feature" is a bit annoying at times but doesn't bother me generally. I've found that if you come to halt and then reduce pressure on the foot brake to a minimum you can force the engine to start again without the car rolling forward. The stop/start system in the M5 was very similar although it was easier to force off because the M5 doesn't roll forward unless you tell it to - so you could restart the engine by just taking your foot off the brake altogether.
