DTC 17963 - Charge Pressure exceeded fault - Help!
Do you have any other DTCs?
If not, the only thing I can suggest is to try a new boost sensor (MAP): If it is faulty then it may give spurious readings to the ECU causing your DTC. Maybe some logging of the boost reading with VAG COM might identify this.

I Had the same fault codes shortly after having an AMD Stage 1 map, I assumed it was a temp overboost built into the map, never hit it long enough to go into limp mode though.
not had it since i cleared it with VagCom, although I think my performance has dropped off lately though, still lots of grunt, but without the serious kick in the back at 4500 revs I used to get, not the MAF checked that so I may have a TBB problem or something, I am fitting a boost guage in the next few weeks to see what boost I am running and how consistently.
Has your performance stayed consistent ??
I guess I need to get it to AMD for a healthcheck

There seems to be a lot of people here with AMD remaps that flag this fault, anyone here with an MTM remap had this fault?
Mine has MTM and it hasnt missed a beat of flagged any faults.
As Dippy says, you need to log your actual and specified boost with a vag com, you've had most other things checked, so could it be due to the remap settings? I don't know, but rare for these sensors to fail.
The main reason the TBB splits is due to the old type clips digging into the rubber. Mostly the boot needs to be removed to see the split.
New ones should come with modified clips to prevent this.
Later cars had the modified boot and clips in production.

I have not had any problem which is directly due to my AmD remap.
I do have an intemittent problem with one of my pre-CAT temp sensors telling the ECU that it is undertemperature, and this caused limp mode once. Since then I just get the occasional DTC. I asked AmD to do something about it but they never did. The car's performance is not affected so I don't worry (although I'll try AmD again at the next service).
So I don't believe that one should expect DTC problems with an AmD remap, and if you do you should get it sorted (or at least understand it as in my case). Remember that limp mode is there to protect the engine or to avoid excessive emissions.

Ah yes I forgot you have the later engine EU3, and I was gonna do some digging for you.Dippy wrote: I do have an intemittent problem with one of my pre-CAT temp sensors telling the ECU that it is undertemperature.
They have Lambda probes pre and post cat and are EOBD compliant. All this means is if the engine ecu detects a misfire that could damage the cat, it will put the warning light on. AGB engine is EU2 and has no misfire detection facility in MVB. Yours does. I also think your engine has secondary air.
Not sure what the crack is when the cats have been removed, as the post cat sensor is used to determine if the cat is doing its job correctly. (Doh just realised as I typed this you have metal free flow cats).
Is the code relating to the heating circuit in the lambda sensor?
This fault is not uncommon and requires a new sensor to fix it. However this fault is not the end of the world as you know.
You can see the heating circuit switching on and off in one of the MVB.
They change from a 0 off to 1 on depending on variables.
Thanks for the info.
It makes me think that maybe AmD don't have any experience of the EU3 engine and therefore their tech didn't understand the problem. I have my car booked in at an Audi dealer soon to sort out the windscreen washer leak, so maybe I can get them to replace the sensor.
The DTC I get is:
16815 - Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)
35-10 - - - Intermittent
It has never caused the dash warning light to come on, even when it initiated limp mode!
