No it was just a trader being smart about not raising any suspicion of him being from the motor trade.

Did he fill in the logbook as a new keeper or trade slip?

Theyre not the easiest cars to sell regardless of them being such awesome machines! Hell have that for a while...

Well what can I say.
I am disappointed the chap was not honest with me, as he seemed genuine.
I was after all advertising it on here in the hope that an enthusiast would buy it.
he was certainly keen !
I didn't specifically ask if he was a trader though.

I was disappointed that he said he was going to chip & tune it, as it was probably one of the few unmolested (performance wise) cars out there. That said, once its gone from me its not my baby, and different people have different views.

No, the log book was not filled out as a trade sale.
The plate has been transfered off the car too, so it has gone back to its original Reg: X703KKV (think its 703 anyway).
I therefore photocopied the original log book prior to sending off for transfer, and then put the new one in the post to him when it arrived.

It is not a one owner car, The log book will show 3 (me from 2003, the previous owner from December 2000, and I assume it got an extra owner somehow when he swapped plates or something, because he had it from first date of reg)

Life is too short. I got what i considered to be a fair price, and undoubtedly the buyer got a very good deal.
Who ever buys it will get a cracking car. It is a shame one of you enthusiasts didn't get to it first though.
A month on and I still can't believe I sold it.

yes, very true.
As I said from the outset on this thread I started out testing the water and was inundated with prospective buyers.
I know it was a good car, and was asking the right price for a private sale.
Faz got there first with the money, so Deal done.

There wont be many out there with similar miles and condition, so it will sell. Not sure at what price though.

He was very quick of the mark by PM a few months back when I had a R32 up for sale, even offering to come round same day with cash to buy the car. The car was already cheap at £6k but he had the cheek to offer £5k and no mention that he was a trader!

And no I didn't accept his cheeky laughable offer! At least some of the traders on here make it known they are trade and purchasing to retail back out

So it's plainly obvious to me now that there hasn't been any "change of circumstances" and explains why Faz contacted me about buying my Noggy Not that I have an issue with anyone contacting me about my but just be honest and up front about it

he also offered a very low price over the phone, which I told him I would not accept.
I was honest with all the interested parties, and he was desperate to come see the car first.
He turned up with a guy he said was his brother, and spent close on 2 hours, again bidding me.
All the time the chat was about what he had previously owned, how much he wanted a noggy RS4, etc etc.
Personally change of circumstances doesnt wash.

This reminds me, there were a couple of receipts missing for a couple of services (it was serviced, just no receipts or book stamp - I sold another car not long before and suspect the receipts were in the wrong folder). If these magically materialise I would be somewhat surprised.

Like i said, lifes too short, I sold it for a price I was prepared to accept.
Who ever buys it will get a great car. Just make sure you bid him strongly too

Yes I bought the car from John and I did intend on keepin it. However an opportunity came up to buy a modded one and it worked out financially a no brainer so I ended up selling this onto a trader. My reasons are my reasons so I dont need to come on here to defend myself.

Im not a trader and its not me who is selling the car, you guys are quick to jump on your high horse. Even if I was a trader John has a agreed a sale price for a car?? what on earth is a genuine seller?? LOL

DK you've changed your cars more often then you have changed your nappies son, so no need to carry on the way you are. ( I'm sure you've made a tidy profit along the way too )
