What does it display on the Nav+ Peter?

The bulge in my cover is below the handle then it tapers back in towards the bottom. This isn't where the std CD changer sits.

Piece of pee mate....two screws hold the existing bracket in....pull that out...four screws holding the CD changer in...undo and remove...unplug the CD changer connection. Installation is reverse of removal (hahahaa) - obviously replacing the phatbox in place of the CD Changer.

Would hate to think how much a steeler would charge for that!

More difficult if you haven't got the existing CD changer cable wired into the head unit though...but providing it is, I'd say 20 mins max (including unpacking!)

Ben, have you got a pic of your cd cover? Does it look like the phatbox would fit inside it judging by Dave's pic?

TWH, can't upload pics at the moment for some reason - won't play ball. I'm sure we'll have to cut like Dave has.

We paid $120 for 4 day insured shipping for both units.

Cheers

Ben

Here's a pic of my CD/Sat Nav cover.

And one showing the location of the CD changer itself:

Depends on what you mean by voice system! There's a common misconception that the PhatBox responds to commands given by voice - it doesn't. All commands are throught the controlson your HU. However, the PhatBox does respond with a simulated voice confirming some commands, and speaking album names etc. This, of course, does work because it's simply additional information fed to the audio input of the HU.
And is the artist and track name displayed on the screen?
No! The CD changer interface which Audi use has no facility for transmitting such information to the HU. There is nothing that PhatNoise can do to overcome this.
