It's taxed, it's on the system

Exactly....although I believe some 18th century law about "failure to display" comes into play?

Roll on later this year when stupid paper tax discs are done away with.

I don't understand why the cf bits cost so much

Cf on the R8 is miles cheaper

Cf sides blades are what?£2k? That's TWO of them, and they are pretty big

Cf engine bay, another £2k? Again pretty big

Hope you enjoy it Abyss and look forward to hearing your thoughts. Options pricing seems all over the place with Audi, the tech pack on an RS4 includes cruise distance, HDD and parking all for £900, a relative bargain when set against other models/ranges.

Well it's an ideal car to get rid of the excess Xmas rubbish to the tip :)

There's no getting away from the fact that it's a very fast car, point to point is unbelievable. The biggest problem that using it on a day to day basis you feel that's it's too quick, the roads aren't long enough and everyone else on the road is driving too slow.

I do find the misano is very understated and this reminds me if my white rs3 that used to blend in and not realty turn many heads. So I can say that the red/carbon isn't for me.

The mrs loves it, and even if we weren't expecting a 6th member of the family I don't know wether I could warrant the additional cost over the Rs4. This is my own personal view as my driving regime is either too and from work (3 miles total), or sometimes drop the kids off on the way (total 11 miles)

If I lived and used the a1 on a daily basis or an autobahn then wow this would be my first choice :) but as I don't then as I've said before I don't know if I could warrant the outlay on a car that's going to be underused.

I've not used the flappys yet but the 8 speed auto is fabulous, in dynamic mode it is a tad brutal, very on/off but when I have some time to myself I'll take it out and try the various different settings.

So to sum it up at this point I'm not quite ready to order one, but let's ask me the same question in 2 weeks

Well I have 2 weeks to make my mind up but at the moment I'm comparing it to the tuned A7 bitdis that I ran last year, ok they didn't sound as good and you certainly don't get the pops and bangs but they're still a very fast car. I suppose it all depends on how fast you want to go... The bitdis were quick with great in gear acceleration and yes the rs6 is quicker but is it £30,000 worth of quicker??

Spot the difference

The blue car was used in the Ben Collins Video, the red one is currently in my possession
