Divert Valves

Post by DrB » Wed Dec 22, 2004 8:26 pm

Went to the local Stealer today for a service (70000 miles).
1. Divert Valves are leaking (increased) noise
2. NSF Differential seal is leaking

Does anyone know what effect these problems will have on the car?

IMHO the divertor valves don't leak! The disphram splits and they stop working! There is a risk that your turbos might stall when changing gear = not good for their longevity. Get them BOTH replaced immediately ask if you can have the uprated 710N valves fitted (OEM on the TT 225).

Differential seals leaking should be common problem with cars of that mileage.

Just replaced my DV'S with 710N valves from VAG Parts £14 ea, cheaper than OEM fit DV'S and better!
