They are called a flexi joint, think they were about £55 each, mine are the same as yours I.e not for road use. FYI as the braided part comes apart the exhaust can move more laterally. Mine began knocking on my gearbox drove me nuts.

Were the old ones cut out while the down pipes were on the car or did they have to come off first and what was the cost of fitting them and did you find a specialist to do it. Took the dp's off to do the job. Easy for those of us who have straight pipes! Did it with one of my mates but can't see the cost being prohibitive. Took about 3 hrs.
