Oh really?

Hey Panda,

Did you track down some tubular manifolds to whack on while the engine is out?
You really need to post up a full mod list of your car.
Does it have comp lowering gaskets, enlarged intakes, decat, Lo650s, meth? It's a bit of a mystery!

Amanda's car is the same speed as my old stage two 535PS C5 RS 6, she knows that. We've been up against each other a few times in Germany, on the Autobahn, and I've driven her car on more than one occasion. It is also the reason why I don't get excited when some of you mention hybrid/uprated turbos on the C5, I've driven Amanda's car, and without the tubular manifolds (which seem impossible to get hold of), and whatever other ancillaries, the uprated turbos are a complete waste of money IMHO.

Oh I don't know about that, I've got two sets.

Anyways, Panda - post up your mods, it'd be good to know what's been done, was it mapped by Viper?

Yeah, it's a Viper map. She had upgraded wastegates, an ACE TC and map tweak by him just before the April '12 ring trip.

Yeah, that's different, and I've seen it in action a few days after he bought it. Both his C5's are done properly. Manifolds and all that sh1t.

Trust me, I've been practicing but I'm not much better. The biggest issue is 2nd/3rd - 4th/3rd rev matching. It has stupid amounts of boost after a 2nd gear pull that you have to wait for revs to fall before slotting 3rd, too soon and you're brushing teeth. It's hard to wait especially when Golfather is trying to get a march on you and the weight of the C5 forums' pride is on your shoulders. Measuring a downshift from 4th is ok except if you're braking, you can't blip the throttle so you'll end up grinding if you're rolling too fast. Left-foot braking or heel-toe is impossible with this set up, I want a decent pedal box, I can't imagine that'd be easy... or cheap to fit.
No matter where you go, there you are.
