S4 arm rest?

Post by Fats » Wed Dec 15, 2004 6:36 pm

Could do with a bit of advice. I've just bought a second hand S4 (christ they're fast) and unfortunately it doesn't have the centre armrest. The car has black leather not recaro. Does anyone know;

1) where I can get hold of one?
2) how much I should be paying?
3) how much of a pain they are to fit for someone who knows nothing about cars (me)

thanks

Try some of the Audi scrappies Any A4 will fit provided the centre consol is the same. (search on google)
If nothing that comes up blank. www.VAGPARTS.com sell them for around £200 or even less, I think from the long time ago I looked. They used to be about £350+ depending on material.

They retro fit to the existing consol by cutting a square section of the plastic out. I haven't done it myself and if you know nothing about cars I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for your concern Morpheous. Unfortunately I have limited access to the web (and a social life) hence not being on line 24/7. I didn't realise you'd be waiting with holding your breath, waiting for the reply....

I'll pass on your armrest. I'd rather pay full whack and not bother you.

No probs you cheeky.... geeza... won't be rude.
Best save your money for the following.
No Recaros, no centre arm rest, cambelt water pump rollers due soon? Rattle from manifolds yet? (Sreg) Bye bye K03's, suspension arms? rear diff pissing out?
Thought you were after the Wheat not the chaff.

Don't want to get caught up between the handbags here ;) But seriously, the arm rest is more of a hassle than anything, I've got one in my S4 and it spends 99.999% of it's life swung up out of the way!
