headlights

hey guys...

i have a A3 on a R plate, and it has a crack indicator lense, im looking into changing it. But i have seen that the S3 have the indicator built into the headlight so its one whole unit insted of them being sperate....will these fit my a3??? and if so where can i get them from?

All pre MY2001 cars have separate headlamp and indicators, regardless of model (S3's had xenons).
You can change for the later one piece units with a bit of cutting here and there, a few people have done it. If you plump for xenons, you will need the starter and ballasts (and strictly speaking headlamp washers).
Ebay or your local breakers will be the best bet.
I have a brand new one piece unit for the A3 (non xenon) that I bought from ebay a while back.
