The rear end looks like an ugly old Holden. Hope this isn't it.

The same type of comments were made on the Porsche websites for the new 911 & new Boxster - 'surely that is a mule', 'that cannot be the finished article', 'those exhausts look cr@p', 'it does not look any different'.

But alas, we were looking at the finished article :(

Still lets hope it will be a mean mother.......

Just heard that the high revving normally aspirated 4.2 is not going in the RS4. It is actually a turbo on the current 4.2, possibly slightly de-tuned from the RS6 engine.

Can anyone actually confirm this either way?

Thanks

Pretty sure its the N/A engine thats going in the new RS4,read somewhere that if it wasnt restricted it would hit 200mph.
Not really arsed one way or the other over the turbo issue,as long as the new car is quicker from A-B then that would do me.
Mind you if it looks like some of the pics above i wont be entertaining buying one

UK dealer speaking to Audi
I haven't yet found a dealer who knew any more than what is in Autocar. Our sources with direct links into GmbH have pretty much guaranteed the next RS4 will be NA, and Audi's big wigs have publically stated that they are not going to do hp anymore, but perfect handling etc...

Of course, it could all be a load of tosh :D

more speculation, audi salesman in bexley says 4.2 v8 as in the rs6 but down tuned to 430BHP with new fsi heads fitted and biturbo.he says 18 months away, but he would as he is trying to sell an s4.
i think theres a lot of speculation or rumors but no hard facts.i did ask him twice about the biturbo bit and he seemed sure and was told on an audi driving promotion.
previous: RS2, RS4 2.7, RS4 4.2.

Bexley is a not nice dealer to do business with, walk away, trust me - I made a formal complaint to Audi UK about them.

They also assured me that the S4 would not get the new corporate grille - within 8 weeks the new shape S4 was debuted.
