S4 or Quattro

Post by Fatneck73 » Thu Oct 31, 2013 2:44 pm

I need a new daily driver...and fancy an S4 or some sort of nippy Quattro. I've got £10k max. Anyone have anything that may be of interest?

Ps...any other colour than black or dark blue and preferably 4 or 5 doors.

If you aren't doing huge miles / don't mind the fuel consumption, the V8 S4s are great cars

I'm not and yes I'm sure they are,...but finding a nice one that is somewhere near Essex seems the challenge hence am widening the scope to 'quattro'....but an S4 would be my pref.

I have also been looking for an s4. Distance isn't the problem, it's finding a good one that's the problem. I have just found one but high mileage and on long life service regime. Will need to have a look but on paper sounds a great car with loads of toys. I har also looked at others but even 2.0t Quattro are going for more money!!

I have started looking at rs6 from the same year(2004) and they are going for the same money but I don't know much about them.

I suspect the C5 is a whole different deal - I've had one, loved it but far too extreme for what I'm after here.

What about an S3? And with a turbo it's easy to tune if you fancy a little tweaking! No idea what sort of age / milage 10k gets you though but I'm guessing you can get a recentish one that'll be reliable enough as a daily.

Yep, an S3 would also tick the box but they seem to be £5k or less or £15k+... There's very few in between I.e. Less than 100k with fsh etc. I think I'm preferring the S4 for the grunt....or poss 3.2 Quattro. How can it be so hard!

Clives car is my old car, cracking motor. He has done loads to it since he bought it from me. Jolly nice chap too.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Yep.
I offered a cheeky £5k, but its well worth the asking price...I just don't really need it, but was tempted.
