Re: RS 51X CS,daytona avant
My mate daves 205 track car with all the glassfibre panels and plastic windows tipped the scales just under 800 kilos with the cage. A 1.1 mk1 (which this was) books at 790. He used cds instead of t45 for the cage but even at that I should be around 700 built with cage and fluids.chunky79 wrote:He likes his pictures does bookfather.
I really would have thought the 205 was a lot lighter than the golf. There were a few golfs at AdI on the track yesterday, a couple of quick ones and also a learner driver

Re: RS 51X CS,daytona avant
got the mulliners centres wet painted in daytona then powdercoat laquered

built them back up

hit up TPS for some goodies

mucking about

got the struts ready

fitted up

old brake pads were shot

old v new

brakes on

wheels on

id ran the spring seats up to take tension so sat it down to see where it would go....

dead hookers in the boot

Re: RS 51X CS,daytona avant
Dougie carried on with the service while I played with the suspension
new filters for everything

5w40 synthetic as I was recommended.....I actually managed to order 0w40 being the donkey that I am so had to order a make shift oil although itll be getting swapped for the motul 5w40 when it arrives

back together

brake fluid was a disgrace and it got a full system flush

gearbox sump coming off

and into more bits

even though id raised it the boot was refilled with my junk and then I had to stick a full tank in so once again it looked like it was full of dead hookers and the wheels also sat too far in but items I know about and im addressing
