Can't wait:)

Did Millbrook a few years back in a Flying Spur, S63 & Maser QP GT. The Alpine track in a 2.5 ton Bentley was something to behold.

Jay, i'll be travelling from West Lancs. PhilT will likely be travelling from South Yorks. No idea if any other Northern Monkey's are travelling down to the Softy South. I'm up for a meet en route though depending on time/location?

I'd just like to add there are vicious speed bumps to the south of the Proving Ground on Sandhill Close which runs due north/south 1000 yards between the centre of Millbrook village and the A507. I guess this is to try and persuade all Millbrook Proving Ground to approach from the north - Bedford Bypass side (Marston Mortaine on the map)

They are full width speedbumps, not 'exhaust catchers', so you cannot chicane round them / straddle two at one. The road is also quite hilly to the south half and narrow in places. Having driven through Millbrook twice in the last few months (and lived in Bedford all my 31 years) I would advise NOT going down there in an R8 or a lowered quattro with Milltek hanging underneath. They are continuous for the whole 1000 yard stretch end to end

Thanks Ian.

I'll be coming down the M1. Happy to meet at Woodall if there's a convoy coming past.

R8s have the 'zoorst hanging out the back, not below. Good route advice though, thanks.

Ah the perks of being an old (ish) fart :bigwave:

Millbrook is an awesome place, although I've never driven round any of the tarmac tracks (making excuses already). I have driven round the off road courses though - in an 8 wheeled lorry! Also been driven round by crazy German MB testers in various things from a Willy's jeep to G Wagons.
