So, I had the inspection done by Grizz on Saturday, it had a few faults which may have put me off - but I no longer have the option to buy it because some toe rags have stolen it!

On Sunday night a bunch of reprobates entered the forecourt office through the roof, stole a bunch of keys and made off with a couple of cars, including the one I was interested in. It may seem hard to believe, but it was reported to me by one of my friends who attended the scene in an official capacity, before the dealer contacted me.

I'm going to get my deposit returned this afternoon.

I may wait until around winterval for some more to appear on the market, though there's one with ceramics and an extended Audi warranty near-ish me, which might be interesting, and an approved one at Exeter Audi for under £29K.

Can you tell us about the faults, as it may assist others if any of the faults identified are uncommon?

Hope you find one soon

Just been to meet with the dealer - Blackpool Automart for a refund. They have refunded the deposit and the cost of the inspection by Grizz. Plaudits to them.

The relevant faults found:

Wheel bearing noise
Dry sump pipes damp / leaking
Oil weep / leaking n/s rear engine (poss. rocker cover, further inspection needed)
lower intercooler pipe sign of slight boost leak
V177 - Fan jammed, intermittent
Severe rusting coolant pipe in the front wheel area

The dealer said they would have rectified these problems, had it not been stolen.

Mine and others experience tells me that they would tell you its done at collection and when you find out it hasnt been they will use your warranty to cover the cost rather than prep it correctly in the first place. :audibash:

Agreed, all dealers lie, including Audi themselves, quite simply you'd have to get the car inspected a second time to check it had been done.

Hard luck, that sucks! Just push on through, I'm trying to pretend I haven't seen your fault report and I'm looking forward to hopefully collecting mine next week if it's not stolen and if the DVLA get their act together and get the number plates on retention!

Good luck finding the next candidate.

Ramics is a MUST for the 6 especially when it's producing 700bhp+ IMO.
Too much power is barely enough.
