I have a mate with a C63 and against my old B7, the merc was faster in the dry
Obviously, not as quick off the line and initially out of tight corners, but as soon as it's rolling, it'll pull away
You have to adopt a very precise driving style in a C63 or it'll slide all over the place and wash away all the speed, so it's much more of a challenge to drive quickly. Your 'average' driver would be quicker in an RS4

I'd put my house on a year long test the RS4 would have both main competitors. I mean same route, all 3 cars once a day for a year, timed (and that's excluding snow days coz the rear drivers would be screwed lol) add up and divide by days timed. RS4 average would be superior. Spose what I'm saying is I feel the difference on the road between wet and dry days the rear drivers advantage in dry is less than the RS4's all round ability.

Course mine is red so would destroy all :) I'm afraid the only time I came up against a willing player was a M3 and I was on limited (5.5k) revs on warm up :(

An Audi drivers warcry but what are the smile per miles between the two? Then again, what makes you smile isn't the same as a Merc driver... mostly because they'll be 95yrs old.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I think you'd be surprised how much traction you can actually find in a c63 if you drive it well, it just has a reputation as most owners tend to be a little throttle happy
On anything but a standing start or a very twisty wet road, the C63 in the right hands would take a B7 RS4
You can't argue with two cars that weigh about the same, but one has 50bhp and around 130ft/lb torque more

I've driven both cars back to back (I used to have a B7 RS4 avant and a close friend has a C63) and I'm confident the C63 would generally come out on top

You have to be on your game in the merc though to make good progress, whereas the B7 you can drive at 80% and still push on

had a brief play with a new one on the M40 going up towards Bicester a while back, he pulled away (and kept going well into 3 digits, I of course stayed at 70mph officer). Stopped behind him at the lights joining the A34 and both had a clear run around the roundabout and off the fast left-hander onto that straight stretch leading up to the shopping village - kept with him through all of that quite easily, but again the second we got on the straight he started pulling away again. NEED. SUPERCHARGER.
