Very jealous mate, supposed to collect mine at 5pm tonight but it wasn't finished, and didn't finish work until 8.30. Was so disappointed had a proper school boy strop. Monday cant come quickly enough! Enjoy your car, looks very nice.

Re: Got the car back tonight :)
Gutting the downpipes usually gives you a light even with pre cats left in. A quick map will sort that out. Glad you have got the car back and hope it is ok. NOW GO BURN THEM TYRES UP!!!!!!!!!GAZ-MAN wrote:Low on diff oil mate, no lights (as of yet) haha but nicer sound I must admit it still has pre cats on it
(how much did they charge for guttin the downpipes)

The MIL light will come on eventually, dependant on your driving. I bet if you scanned it the errors would come up anyway, even though the light isn't on.
NB it's not really a quick map though. MRC stage 2 is needed.

Re: Got the car back tonight :)
As I understand this post, you've had the cats gutted, but left the precats in place in the downpipes - is that correct?
Certainly different, and I'll be honest, not sure it's the way I'd recommend. Main aim of gutting the system is to allow the turbo's to spool quicker, and you've left the biggest blockage near the turbo's......
Still, as long as you are happy then I guess that's great - so well done!!

Re: Got the car back tonight :)
He done it for me for nothing as he had the car back off the car so I wasn't too fussed I will eventually get proper downpipes cause I need more noise
Re: Got the car back tonight :)
As MrPerc asked, have you had the downpipes gutted or the actual cats? I didn't read your first post properly ( suprise suprise).
Nobby, 1 hour for a map is quick to me.

Yep - there's lots of scrap value in the innards of cats I understand - that's why metal thieves regularly rip them out!! See http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/se ... theft.htmlHe done it for me for nothing
At some point you'll need to think about MOT - really don't know if it will pass with no cats and with pre-cats, but I would doubt it.
