How much deposit is reasonable when you order?

Debit cards cost 21p per transaction for us but CC's cost 1.89% so there is quite a big difference!

Down to the vendor. And Amex is higher across the board.

Yes, we don't take Amex but it would have been closer to 3%.

But cc is always on a % basis unless a refund. Debit is always fixed. This is true of all vendors hence why they don't want £60k on a cc.

CC Charge is also on the inc VAT amount so effectively that adds almost another 1% to the cost to the dealer.
