Yes that was me ;-) How you found the LOBA flywheel? My main concern is the chatter - do you notice any change once it bed in? Did it improve? Thanks.

Also sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you can make it and get your car back to how you want it ;-) Good luck Mark :thumb:

Ok, story is I had the clutch done at MRC and had the Loba single mass flywheel instead of OEM at about 74-76k miles. My gearbox went within 2k miles of this work being done. More likely coincidence as I know my car has had a lot of owners and been ragged which I don't mind now I've had gearbox and clutch done. The chatter was worse on the old gearbox but only happened with high engine load at sub 2k revs. I don't even worry with the new gearbox and very rarely chatters but usually try to keep revs above 2k for the sake of the engine. I've never heard anything above 2k but peeps have said that's coz of other noise happening due to higher revs. Also I've heard two explanations for chatter, unengaged gears and gearbox shaft end bearings.

I have found the pickup of the engine is significantly improved and decided not to change it when I had the gearbox replaced.

Thanks for the info  I've heard that the gearbox can affect chatter. Hopefully I'll get to hear it in person at the meet. ;-)

I'm looking forward to this also - will be good to meet some other owners.

Good idea or not ?
I think the best we can achieve is comparative results on the day. Same Dyno, Temp etc... Different RR's have too many variables... :)
You have hit the nail on the head there fella...everyone on the same dyno, same day...it will show everyone where there car is at..it is the ultimate parameter..like someone above posted be interesting what different outputs there are with the different mods and maps on each car...and I am really looking forward to the different exhaust sounds on the v8s and the v10s..will be a good laugh and spending a few hours chatting motors etc to fellow petrol heads and meet some more new forum members...

There's been some talk of putting a few quid in a pot and having a couple of prizes made up from the cash.

One for most gained horsepower over standard with modifications

One for closest to original horsepower without modifications.

Another option would be to have a best photo of the day with everyone allowed to put in a single photo and then a poll done on the forum over a month to see who gets the most votes.

Or we can keep it simple and not do any of these.

Other ideas and feedback on these ideas from those attending would be appreciated.

Good ideas Gaz - makes it a bit of fun ;-) maybe AMD can provide something? E.g. free 4WD alignment, health check, vouchers etc..? ;-)

P.S. If one of the prizes is for best interior and most carbon under the bonnet then I'll give you my money now. :biggrin3:
